There’s just something about October each year (other than my birthday) that creates such a buildup of excitement for me and other #GlassNerds. It’s like March for college basketball or February for NASCAR. That October “something” is GlassBuild America. In my mind, the glass industry’s Superbowl.
One may ask, why GlassBuild? And why is it so exciting?
Because this is our opportunity to showcase who we are and what solutions we have to offer our customers. It’s a homecoming for those who have been in the industry for many years and an opportunity to meet new folks just as passionate about glass as I am. Just like professional sports teams, we prepare months in advance for the show with the design and layout of our booth, choices for machinery, the latest technology, and newly designed tooling that makes anyone in production feel like a kid in a candy store.
It's also a core principle of Salem, that you must be present to make the needed connection with your customers while displaying products and equipment. When was the last time you purchased a car and didn’t drive it first? We want to give all customers the experience to see and touch our products and educate them on the benefits. Attending GlassBuild allows you to network with other professionals and further your education with daily presentations.
