Breaking News!

With the timing of Hurricane Irma this week, we are aware that many people will still be arriving later today into tomorrow. To maximize opportunities for our attendees and exhibitors to conduct business while here at GlassBuild, we have worked with our vendors and the Georgia World Congress Center to EXTEND SHOW HOURS on Wednesday and Thursday. We have added 1 hour on Wednesday morning and 2 hours on Wednesday evening; and 1 additional hour on Thursday morning.

Adjusted Expo Floor Show Hours:
Wednesday, September 13 – 8:00am - 7:00pm
Thursday, September 14 – 8:00am - 2:00pm

Exhibitors: Please see exhibitor-specific information here.

We’re here and we’re ready!

While we’re starting to see the rain come into the Atlanta this morning, the highest winds won’t impact this area until between Noon and Midnight, and are expected to subside after Midnight. GlassBuild will kick-off tomorrow at 8am as originally planned and will run through 2pm on Thursday.

Many of our exhibitors have already arrived in Atlanta with their shipments and have told us they want to make the most of their investment and months of preparation. This is our largest show in many years, a reflection of high demand in a strong construction market. We want to make the most of this unfortunate situation beyond anyone’s control.

We all have an obligation to protect the safety and security of our registrants and our staff. Please use your best judgement in regard to your own personal safety when deciding to come to Atlanta.

Please see these updated FAQs as of 5:00pm.

EXHIBITORS: If you are delayed, we are making provisions for the show floor to be available for late exhibit set-up for 24 hours into Wednesday.

Message from NGA\WDDA President & CEO Nicole Harris
We understand and share your concern. Please know we are monitoring the situation closely, directly engaging with the top officials of the GWCC, the city, hotels, and all of our other trusted vendors involved with hosting GlassBuild America. Safety and security is the top priority, and we are following all precautions.

However, unless and until the Mayor of Atlanta and the Governor of Georgia declare a state of emergency and require evacuations for the Atlanta area, the show will go on as planned. This is standard operating procedure for all trade shows and events, and we are following the protocols in place.

Of course, everyone must make their own decisions about coming to the show. We know it’s a difficult call. None of us know exactly what’s coming or what the impact will be.

EXHIBITORS: We are making provisions for the show floor to be open beyond the usual timeframes for 24 hours and into Wednesday for late set-up.

Please know also that our pre-registration numbers are among the highest on record, so even if a percentage of our attendees don’t make it in, we anticipate a strong and successful show. We’re here, we’re ready, and we hope to see you in Atlanta.

Our thoughts continue to be with everyone in areas being affected by Hurricane Irma and those in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

Updated September 8, 12:15pm
GlassBuild America WILL be held as planned as long as the City of Atlanta, Georgia World Congress Center, and our official hotels are open and able to host our event. Rescheduling is not possible and there is no current intention of canceling the event unless the city of Atlanta mandates it. This is a difficult time and we understand that individuals may encounter personal, business and/or travel reasons for why they may not be able to attend. Please use your best judgement. If you decide not to attend, please be sure to cancel your hotel reservation directly with your hotel to avoid being charged as a "no show."

NGA\WDDA will continue to monitor the situation and post updates if needed.

To our members and colleagues in Florida and in other areas being affected by Hurricane Irma, our thoughts are with you – be safe.
